Release 7.1

The version 7.1 release includes the new Iteration Report procedure, new time-based media fields on Object records, other changes and additions to various records, and bug fixes.

CollectionSpace version 7.1 was released in December 2022.

Release 7.1 does not contain any breaking changes.

New functionality

• A new Object Valuation report has been added. https://collectionspace.atlassian.net/browse/DRYD-1082

• In the Location/Movement/Inventory record, the Local Place authority has been added to the autocomplete sources for the Current Location and Normal Location fields. https://collectionspace.atlassian.net/browse/DRYD-1147

• The Group Basic List report may now be invoked on search results for Object records, and on a single Object record, in addition to a Group record. https://collectionspace.atlassian.net/browse/DRYD-1053

• In the Core and Fine and Contemporary Art profiles, on the Object record, a new Time-Based Media template has been added. This template contains the new time-based media fields.

• In the Core and Fine and Contemporary Art profiles, a new Iteration Report record type has been added.

• In the Materials profile, additional terms have been added to the Work Creator Type and Work Type term lists.

• In the Core, Anthropology, Fine and Contemporary Art, and Local History and Material Culture profiles, a new Public Browser template has been added.

• In the NAGPRA Claim procedure, the Archaeological Culture authority has been added to the autocomplete sources for the Claim Context/Cultural Group Involved/Name field.

• In the disambiguation pop-up that is displayed when hovering over authority terms, the names of the authority and vocabulary are now displayed.

Schema changes

• On the Person record, maker-supplied identity fields have been added.

• On the Object record, copyright (rights management) fields have been added.

• On the Object record, time-based media fields have been added. These are visible on the Time-Based Media template, in the Core and Fine and Contemporary Art profiles.

• On the Media Handling record, checksum fields have been added.

• On the Object and Media Handling records, a new Note field has been added to the Dimension group.

• In the Anthropology profile, new NAGPRA-related fields have been added to the Place record.

Bug fixes

• In the Fine and Contemporary Art profile, on the Object record, the Annotation Type field dropdown was missing values. This has been fixed.

• In the Group Basic List report, all fields are now correctly formatted, instead of being displayed as URNs.

• On Person and Organization records, the contact information no longer disappears when a narrower term is added to an unsaved record.

Other

• The CollectionSpace logo has been updated to use the new, higher contrast design.

• In the Public Art profile, on the Object record, the Tombstone template has been modified: The Program Name field has been removed, and the Publish To field has been added.
