Test 26: Preferred and Non-Preferred Terms: NPT Not Allowed

  • Actions:
    1. Log out of CollectionSpace
      1. Log back in to the Materials tenant by visiting: https://qa.collectionspace.org/collectionspace/ui/materials/html/index.html
      2. From the Create New screen, create a new Authority term record relevant to your QA test.
      3. Enter "Bush Falls" in the Display Name field
      4. Create a second repeatable term block
      5. Enter "The Book of Joe" in the second Display Name field
      6. Create a third repeatable term block
      7. Enter "The Book of Joe (Bush Falls)" in the third Display Name field
      8. Mark "The Book of Joe" as preferred
      9. Save the record
      10. Create a new Cataloging record and fill in the required fields
      11. Type "Bush Falls" in the "Reference->Reference Information" field
    2. Expected:
      1. In the term completion drop down, "The Book of Joe" should appear in black
      2. Underneath "The Book of Joe", "Bush Falls" and "The Book of Joe (Bush Falls)" should appear indented in gray
    3. Actions:
      1. Click on "Bush Falls"
    4. Expected:
      1. "Bush Falls" should not be clickable.
    5. Actions:
      1. Click on "The Book of Joe (Bush Falls)"
    6. Expected:
      1. "The Book of Joe (Bush Falls)" should not be clickable
    7. Actions:
      1. Click on "The Book of Joe"
    8. Expected:
      1. The field now contains the term "The Book of Joe"
    9. Actions:
      1. Save the record
    10. Expected:
      1. The Reference Information->Reference field still contains the term "The Book of Joe" and the term should appear in the right sidebar
    11. Actions:
      1. Click on the term in the right sidebar
    12. Expected:
      1. You should navigate to the Citation record for "The Book of Joe" indicating that "The Book of Joe" is the Preferred term and "Bush Falls" and "The Book of Joe (Bush Falls)" are non-preferred terms

    1. Log out of CollectionSpace
      1. Log back in to the Core tenant
      2. From the Create New screen, create a new Citation.
      3. Enter "Bush Falls" in the Display Name field
      4. Create a second repeatable term block
      5. Enter "The Book of Joe" in the second Display Name field
      6. Create a third repeatable term block
      7. Enter "The Book of Joe (Bush Falls)" in the third Display Name field
      8. Mark "The Book of Joe" as preferred
      9. Save the record
      10. Create a new Cataloging record and fill in the required fields
      11. Type "Bush Falls" in the "Reference->Reference Information" field
