Test 1: Object Current Location is Created/Updated

Test 1a

  • Actions:
    1. From the Create New page, create a new Object Cataloging record.
    2. In the data entry form for the Object Cataloging record:
      1. Enter any Identification Number
      2. Enter Tango Object into the Title field
      3. Save the record
    3. Click on the +Related tab and select Location/Movement/Inventroy from the dropdown
    4. Click the + Create New button
    5. In the data entry form for the Location/Movement/Inventory record:
      1. Enter a Reference Number
      2. Enter Alpha Location into the Current Location field
      3. In the dropdown menu that appears, select Offsite Storage Locations
      4. In the Location Date field, enter 1700-01-01
    6. Click Save
    7. Click Save only in the Confirmation dialog that appears
    8. Search for Tango Object in the top center search box
    9. Click the link to Tango Object in the search results list
  • Expected:
    • Alpha Location will appear under Related Procedures in the right sidebar
    • Alpha Location will appear in the Computed Current Location field
      • If Alpha Location does not appear here, try refreshing the record
    • Alpha Location will appear under Terms Used in the right sidebar

Test 1b

  • Actions:
    1. From the Create New page, create a new Location/Movement/Inventory record.
    2. In the data entry form for the Location/Movement/Inventory record:
      1. Enter a Reference Number
      2. Enter Bravo Location into the Current Location field
      3. In the dropdown menu that appears, select Offsite Storage Locations
      4. In the Location Date field, enter 1800-01-01
    3. Click Save
    4. Click Save only in the Confirmation dialog that appears
    5. Search for Tango Object in the top center search box
    6. Click the link to Tango Object in the search results list
    7. In the Related Procedures menu of the right sidebar, click the Add... button.
    8. In the dialog that appears, select Location/Movement/Inventory from the Find dropdown menu.
    9. Enter Bravo in the keyword search box
    10. Click the Search button
    11. Click the checkbox next to Bravo Location in the search results list.
    12. Click the Relate Selected button
  • Expected:
    • Bravo Location will now appear, along with Alpha Location, under Related Procedures in the right sidebar.
    • Alpha Location will still appear in the Computed Current Location field
    • Alpha Location will also still appear under Terms Used in the right sidebar
  • Actions:
    1. In your browser, reload the current page
  • Expected:
    • Bravo Location will now appear in the Computed Current Location field
    • Bravo Location will also now appear under Terms Used in the right sidebar

Test 1c

  • Actions:
    1. From the Create New page, create a new Location/Movement/Inventory record
    2. In the data entry form for the Location/Movement/Inventory record:
      1. Enter a Reference Number 
      2. Enter Charlie Organization into the Current Location field
      3. In the dropdown menu that appears, select Local Organizations
      4. In the Location Date field, enter 1900-01-01
    3. Click Save
    4. Click Save only in the Confirmation dialog that appears
    5. Search for Tango Object in the top center search box
    6. Click the link to Tango Object in the search results list
    7. Click the Loc/Mov/Inv... secondary tab
    8. Click the Relate Existing button
    9. Enter Charlie in the keyword search box
    10. Click Search
    11. Click the checkbox next to Charlie Organization in the search results list
    12. Click the Relate Selected button
    13. Click the Primary Record tab to return to the Tango Object Cataloging record
  • Expected:
    • Charlie Organization will now appear, along with Bravo Location and Alpha Location, under Related Procedures in the right sidebar
    • Bravo Location will still appear in the Computed Current Location field
    • Bravo Location will also still appear under Terms Used in the right sidebar
  • Actions:
    1. In your browser, reload the current page
  • Expected:
    • Charlie Organization will now appear in the Computed Current Location field
    • Charlie Organization will also now appear under Terms Used in the right sidebar

Test 2: Object Current Location is Updated When a Related L/M/I is Updated

Continue from Test 1c. You should at this point be on the Object Cataloging page for the Tango Object

  • Actions:
    1. Select Location/Movement/Inventory from the dropdown next to the top center search box
    2. Enter Alpha Location into the Search box and click Search
    3. Click the link to the Alpha Location Location/Movement/Inventory record in the search results list
    4. In the data entry form for the Location/Movement/Inventory record:
      1. In the Location Date field, replace the current value with 2000-01-01
      2. Click Save
      3. Click Save only in the Confirmation dialog that appears
    5. In the Related Objects menu of the right sidebar, click Tango Object
  • Expected:
    • Alpha Location will now appear in the Computed Current Location field
    • Alpha Location will also now appear under Terms Used in the right sidebar

Test 3: Object Current Location is Updated When a Related L/M/I is Deleted

Continue from Test 2. You should at this point be on the Object Cataloging page for the Tango Object

  • Actions:
    1. In the Related Procedures section of the right sidebar, click the Alpha Location link
    2. On the Location/Movement/Inventory page for Alpha Location:
      1. Click the Delete button
      2. In the Confirmation dialog that appears, click the Delete button
    3. Select Objects from the dropdown next to the top center search box
    4. Enter Tango Object into the Search box and click Search
    5. Click the link to Tango Object in the search results list
  • Expected:
    • Only Charlie Organization and Bravo Location will appear under Related Procedures in the right sidebar
    • Charlie Organization will now appear in the Computed Current Location field
      • If Alpha Location still appears, reload the current page
    • Charlie Organization will now also appear under Terms Used in the right sidebar

Test 4: Object Current Location is Updated When Relationship to L/M/I is Deleted

Continue from Test 3. You should at this point be on the Object Cataloging page for the Tango Object

  • Actions:
    1. Click the Loc/Mov/Inv secondary tab
    2. Select the checkbox to the left of the identification number for Charlie Location
    3. Select the Unrelate button
    4. Select Objects from the dropdown next to the top center search box
    5. Enter Tango Object into the Search box and click Search
    6. Click the link to Tango Object in the search results list
  • Expected:
    • Only Bravo Organization will appear under Related Procedures in the right sidebar
    • Bravo Organization will now appear in the Computed Current Location field
      • If Charlie Location still appears, reload the current page
    • Bravo Organization will now also appear under Terms Used in the right sidebar
