Overview

Data import is the general term for bringing outside data into CSpace by methods other than simple data entry.

Must Have for Release 1.5

Admin can import data in XML
Admin can relate records on import, when such relationships are present in existing data
Admin can generate a summary report for each import showing number of records read, rejected, accepted, etc.
System allows incremental imports
System has import failure modes which can be specified by the caller

Out of Scope for Release 1.5

System has validation modes which can be specified by the caller on import
System checks for duplicate records on import
System allows import from Excel files
