Accessing the User Manual
Access to the CollectionSpace User Manual is a benefit for contributors to the CollectionSpace program. The User Manual is a private area within this larger Confluence-based site. Examples of contributors include:
Staff of institutions that host CollectionSpace via a registered server provider,
Staff of institutions that contribute to the Technology Development Fund.
Individuals that contribute to the program in non-monetary ways such as through functionality development or quality assurance testing.
If you need assistance managing your Confluence account, visit the Confluence Account Management page.
How to Receive Access
If you do not have a current Confluence account, you will first need to create a Confluence account to receive access to the User Manual. Because access to the User Manual is a contributor benefit, you will need to create an account using your institutional email address associated with your member organization.
Visit collectionspace.atlassian.net
In the upper right corner click on the little login icon. A login popup window will display.
If you already have an Atlassian account sign in.
If you do not yet have an Atlassian account, scroll down in the popup window and click on “Create an account”
We will be notified of this account creation and will grant access to the User Manual. We will activate access to the User Manual when we receive this account creation notice. If you are associated with a member organization but do not have access to an institutional email address, please contact the CollectionSpace program team at collectionspace@lyrasis.org in regards to to creating an account using a personal email address.
Granting access is a manual process. Please allow 2 business days for your permissions to be updated. If you still have not received access after 2 business days, please contact us at collectionspace@lyrasis.org.
Navigating to the User Manual
Once you are logged in and have access, you can access the User Manual through the Space Directory page of Confluence or by visiting CollectionSpace User Manual.
