Upgrading CollectionSpace

Upgrading to a Newer Version of CollectionSpace

For upgrades to/from specific versions

• Multiple changes needed when upgrading to CollectionSpace 4.2 or higher

  • Upgrading to Tomcat 7 when upgrading to CollectionSpace 4.2 or higher
    (when upgrading from any 4.1.x or earlier version, to 4.2 or higher)

  • Changing the name of one database table column when upgrading to CollectionSpace 4.2 or higher
    (when upgrading from any 4.1.x or earlier version, to 4.2 or higher)

  • Updating environment variables when upgrading to CollectionSpace 4.2, 4.3, or higher
    (when upgrading from any 4.1.x or earlier version, to 4.2 and higher)

• Migrating existing users and roles to a new CollectionSpace system
  (when upgrading from any 3.2 or earlier version, to 3.2.1 and higher)
