A service for managing public access to items like reports, images, and documents and the associated publishing metadata. In addition to managing PublicItem metadata records, the service manages anonymous public access to items. Public items are "published" by other services like the Blob, Media, and Report services. Published items are publically accessible (no credentials are required) through this service with URLs in the following form:

http://collectionspace.org:8180/cspace-services/publicitems/{tenantId}/{csid}/content

. The related PublicItem metadata records are accessible (with the proper credentials) at URLs like:
