Overview
Data import is the general term for bringing outside data into CSpace by methods other than simple data entry.

This page describes a scope of work for one development sprint.
Must Have for Release 1.5
- Admin can import data in XML
- Admin can relate records on import, when such relationships are present in existing data
- Admin can generate a summary report for each import showing number of records read, rejected, accepted, etc.
- System allows incremental imports
- System has import failure modes which can be specified by the caller
Out of Scope for Release 1.5
- System has validation modes which can be specified by the caller on import
- System checks for duplicate records on import
- System allows import from Excel files
