Create New Object Record IDs from Acquisition IDs
User Story
This appears to be a duplicate of Create New Object ID based on Existing Acquisition ID
Example: The user creates a new Acquisition, the 18th lot acquired by the museum during the year 2009. According to the museum's pattern for acquisition numbers, this acquisition receives the number "2009.18".
When the user creates an initial object record based on that acquisition, the ID value "2009.18.1" will be auto-filled in the data entry form. (This is the initial item number associated with that acquisition, and in this example conforms to the museum's pattern for object numbers, which incorporate an acquisition number.)
This story is not about:
- Defining ID patterns.
- The process by which an ID pattern is associated to a field on a form.
- Validating user-entered field values for format or uniqueness.
