Create New Intake Records with Auto-filled Entry Number
User Story
When creating a new Intake record, the next available value in the default entry number sequence will be auto-filled in the form in the entry number field. This number can be edited by the user.
This story is not about:
- Defining ID patterns.
- Choosing ID patterns.
- The process by which an ID pattern is associated to a field on a form.
- Validating user-entered field values for format or uniqueness.
Default identification number sequence for release 0.2:
First new Entry record created: IN2009.1
Second new Entry record created: IN2009.2
Etc.
