Media Handling Requirements - Release 1.2

Overview

Media handling is the management of digital objects and the management of media assets that support object, procedural, and organizational records in the system.

Must Have for Release 1.2

Iteration 1 of the Media Service.

Out of Scope for Release 1.2

Please note that the following user stories are out of scope for Release 1.2, but all are in scope for Release 2.0, and should be accounted for when making technical decisions.

User can create a new media record
User can upload an image to a media record
User may link to a media asset not stored in CollectionSpace
User can upload audio to a media record
User can upload video to a media record
User can view derivatives of uploaded or linked media via the media tab, right sidebar, and in search results
User may bulk upload media assets to a media "holding pen"
User may create media records for all media assets in the "holding pen"
