Validations desired:

  • Dimensions summary (before save or on save?)

Relabeling of fields:

Ubiquitous:

  • "Please select a value" (currently variously truncated)==> "[select one]" or "[select]"
  • "Please select an item" ==> "[select one]" or "[select]"
  • Right panel (to accompany customization of field layout listed further below):
    • "Term" ==> perhaps leave blank
    • "Vocabulary" ==> perhaps leave blank

Cataloging:

  • Can the pick-list-within-a-cell format of the following be changed to the more elegant format seen in "Script", "Sex", "Phase", etc.?
    • "Number Type" ("Other Number")
    • "Currency", "Level", "System", "Type", "Language" ("Object Name")
    • and other similar examples
  • Will "Event Name Type", "Other Type", "Technique Type", "Role" be made into CV fields with pick lists?

Customizations of layouts:

Cataloging:

  • Take some fields out of "Object Description Information" and place into their own collapsible group, "Biological Information":
    • "Sex"
    • "Phase"
    • "Form" [maybe]
    • "Age"

Questions:

  • Can "Collection" be multi-valued?
  • Can "Title" be multi-valued?
  • Will "Dimension Summary" be automatically populated?
  • In textual inscription, are "Method" and "Type" the same, or at least redundant?
  • If "Number Type" in "Other Number" is set to "Field number", can this value be automatically added as "Field Collection Number" (either AJAX-esque or upon validation?)
  • Can URLs for documents be entered in fields like "Owner's Reference", such that they'll serve as clickable links to those documents?
