Are these priorities in the right order? We have additional unresolved tasks documented on Jira but those below are probably higher priority at this point in time.
Public Interface
- Working with CollectionSpace project do develop application bridge (for credentials/login). Meeting to discuss use cases next week, including public portal and e-loans.
- Can start design work soon on the requirements for this.
Image rotation
- ?Pre-upload alternatives being investigated. In the meantime, Glen will continue to run his job weekly. Please email us when you find unrotated images that are more than a week old. (cspace-support@lists.berkeley.edu)
Import Darwin images
- We can get Glen started on this. We need to know more about where images are stored on Darwin, file-naming conventions, etc.
Batch imports (volunteer data)
- Chris is completing the work he started on importing GOD data as a model for importing the volunteer data files.
Add Image button (Cataloging)
- Not hard to do, but has never risen to the top of the priority queue.
Duplicate Accession Number report (Cataloging)
- Rick or Lam could work on this, using SQL developed by Yuteh.
Duplicate File Name report (Media Handling)
- This might be a version of the report already run by Lam (though the filename is elsewhere in the CollectionSpace tables)
Major Category (Taxonomy)
- It is routine to add the field
- It is challenging to add the data. We would need clear rules, and the simpler the process, the better.
- Add taxonomic hierarchy and probably Family field as in Bot Garden
- Of course, then you want to search on that field and you want to report on that field.
- For bryophytes first, then lichen
Add Duplicate Accession Number flag to Cataloging and/or UI warning about duplicate Accession Numbers
- Write batch process to manage a field on cataloging
- Develop UI validation
