This week's priorities:
  • UCJEPS upgrade to 3.2.2
  • Botgarden Follow Up:
    • additional training

CSPACE-3.2.3 & CSPACE-3.3
  • CSPACE-3.2.3 contribution
    • "show related objects" feature doesn't make much sense without "add to record" button on advanced search results
    • discussion about contributing both features:
      • contributing show related objects is easy
      • contributing add to record is more complicated, probably more review that needs to be done
    • patrick points out that we can start the contribution process now: throw it up on a branch, ask for help
    • wish list note in related functionality:
      • go to the record you just added a bunch of records to
      • ie, after add to record button, go to the group you just added advanced search results to
  • CSPACE-3.3 underway
    • 3.3: unified config & a few nasty bug fixes - app layer concurrency bugs
    • reconsidering some of the SAAS stuff
    • please clear up your brains, wishlists, and notes for CSPACE tasks and get them into JIRA v3.3 fix
      • taxon perms cannot be set to 'none'
      • CSPACE-5766: Jasper servier intermittent failures require tomcat restart
Web Apps & Django
  • demo app that pulls up a parameterized ireport now operational at dev.cspace.berkeley.edu/webapps/ireport
    • login with pahma dev admin credentials
    • cspace won't tell you what parameters the report needs, so these need to be hardcoded - JIRA has been filed
  • delphi
    • no real progress this past week, currently blocked on Patrick
    • no estimated release date at this point
Design Discussions
  • Thursday from 3-4 Chris and Patrick are having a meeting with CDL
    • The CDL is looking at a system wide DAM based on Nuxeo DAM. Meeting to discuss our experience with migrations, customizations, etc.
  • Thursday at 4pm - design discussion topic: Are we operating systems in a cost efficient way?
    • talk with database team about performance work
  • In the near future: a retrospective on our current workflow with our three deployments
  • Tuesday a week from tomorrow, missed the meeting topic
  • Future topic: Performance analysis
Last week at Berkeley:
  • deployed botgarden prod
  • no more source.collectionspace.org
  • tagged for possible contribution:
    • ant quick-deploy target in top level app layer, just copies config files, seconds instead of minutes! run quick-deploy then app layer init
    • app layer deploy deletes files in lib/tenants
    • modifying app layer config files in $CSPACE_JEESERVER_HOME/lib now takes effect
    • alternating colors + margin space for repeating groups
