Locations are added to Objects through the Location, Movement, and Inventory Procedure. Locations can be added to one Object at a time, or the same Location can be assigned to multiple Objects.
- To add a Location/Movement/Inventory record to an Object, navigate to the desired Object record or create a new Objectrecord
- If you created a new Object, fill in all required fields and click Save
- Click on the +Related tab and select Location/Movement/Inventory from the dropdown

- In the Location/Movement/Inventory tab, click on +Create New

- Enter at least a Reference Number, Current Location, and Location Date, along with any other fields required by your organization
- The Current Location field pulls from your Storage Location Authority
- Save the record

- Return to the Primary Tab
- Refresh the Record
- The Current Location you entered will appear in the Computed Current Location field

- To update the Current Location of an Object, repeat this process, adding a new Location/Movement/Inventory record rather than editing an existing one - this allows you to see an Object's Location History over time

- To update the Location for a group of Objects:
- Go to Create New
- Create a new Location, Movement and Inventory Record
- Enter at least a Reference Number, Current Location, and Location Date, along with any other fields required by your organization
- Click on the Add button next to Related Objects in the right sidebar
- Enter the Identification Numbers for the Objects you wish to attach to this Location, Movement, and Inventory record
- Once all Object records are added, we recommend Saving the Location/Movement/Inventory record again, this time choosing Save and Lock from the confirmation pop-up to reduce the likelihood of someone inadvertently changing the location for all Objects
